The popular saying says: «If the mountain does not go to Muhammad, Muhammad goes to the mountain». This motto, but in English is what they have had to adopt on YouTube and their particular battle against vertical videos.

A defeat that can even be classified as victory for the Zuckerberg universe, since Instagram is based on vertical videos and after launching the IGTV platform even more. Today is the day of changes in YouTube and is that before this change, the Google video platform has introduced the dark mode for the Android app.

However, the big change is for PC mode. A change that had already occurred in smartphones, now the vertical format is already accepted for the web version. So far, Google allowed only the 16: 9 format, while vertical videos continue to gain ground.

Snapchat, Facebook Live, Instagram were the first to know the tastes of the users and the preference for vertical recording. From now on, YouTube will allow these videos in their web version.

The difference with respect to before is that now black bars of the videos will not be shown vertically and in other formats, but black will now be white.
