They create smart pots that seek the sun for plants



The device has articulated legs that look for light rays to give life to plants


Caring for a plant is an impossible mission for many people. In summer, the care of these living beings is complicated and technology has arrived to solve this problem. With this aim, Hexa is born, a small flowerpot robot that can move by itself and look for the sun or the shadow.

The father of the creature is Sun Tianqi, a Chinese businessman who loves robotics. The origin of Hexa, manufactured by the Vincross company, is simple, since Tianqui adapted a toy robot for an art installation.

Six legs that in the upper part incorporates a flowerpot and also incorporates a series of sensors to fulfill orders and satisfy the needs of the plant. With these specifications, Hexa is able to move around the house to find light and shade.

In addition, the pot would have another series of sensors capable of monitoring the humidity of the earth, so you would know when it is necessary to water the plant.

The appearance of Hexa goes back to 2014 when Tianqi exhibited his work in an art installation. It is a commitment to technology at the service of nature, where until now it remains in that, in a project that will not be commercialized.
