Most users prefer the mobile to connect
From 21 to 23 hours. This is the time slot preferred by the Spanish to pick up the phone and surf "at some point," according to the study Navegantes en la Red e the Association for Media Research (AIMC).
Almost half of respondents choose this time slot to navigate and their preferred medium, nine out of ten, choose the smartphone to connect, of which 47% say that "can not live without internet on their devices."
The AIMC study highlights that 28.7% of people who have access to the internet connect daily, ten points higher than the last report made four years ago. According to Navegantes en la Red, the increase in the time of use of social networks stands out, since 53.8% use networks for more than half an hour a day and the main use is friendship relations.
Nearly 80% have a profile on these platforms, where Facebook maintains its hegemony when used by 85.6% of those who have used social networks in the last 30 days. Instagram continues to rise (47.1%), and driven by an unstoppable growth (7 more points in a year, 21 more in three, 33 more in five), snatches the second position to Twitter, which drops slightly from 48.9 % to 46.4% in one year.
