Samsung already has a date for its first flexible mobile

It will arrive from January 2019

It was expected for 2014, then 2015, then 2016 ... and so it has been postponed until this year when it seemed that Samsung was going to launch its first folding smartphone to the market. However, this has not been the case, but there is a new date and, this time, it seems definitive: January 2019.

As revealed by The Wall Street Journal, Samsung has everything ready to bring to market its first smartphone that can be folded thanks to a new mechanism supported by a flexible OLED screen.

In 2016, the South Korean obtained a patent to get flexibility on the screen and be able to double it in half. A few months later, Samsung executives pointed to 2019 as the launch date, although later they advanced to this year.

However, the dates for the arrival of the expected Galaxy X are over, as many rumors suggest. Next August 9, the South Korean will launch in New York (United States) its new Galaxy Note 9. The doubt resides if in the last quarter Samsung will bet on a new presentation.

The information from WSJ suggests that it will be an elongated smartphone with a 7-inch screen, which will have the capacity to fold in half. The patent also points out that a secondary screen can be implemented abroad, which will serve for quick glance when the smartphone is folded.

According to the American media, this device would be aimed at gamers. And in addition, its price would exceed $ 1,500.
