According to data from WhatsApp itself, its more than 1,500 million active users per month make more than 2,000 million minutes daily in calls and also in video calls. Neither was surprising the landing of group video calls, as these were one of the main demands of users.

In 2014, WhatsApp welcomed the voice calls, two years later to the video calls and now two years later the groups also arrive with the aim of "offering a good experience to each one of the users".

This new option, yes, can be made up to four members regardless of the platform or smartphone that is being used, or if it is connected via WiFi or mobile data.

The use of group calls and video calls on WhatsApp is simple, since its operation is similar to the usual one. The first step is to initiate a call with one of the contacts, and then press the button to "add participants" in the upper right corner.

In addition, WhatsApp has announced the arrival of end-to-end encryption for group or traditional voice and video calls, a feature that is now available to all users of the service regardless of the platform or its type of connection.

In 2016, the instant messaging app applied this formula to conversations in text and that has raised the security of the platform by protecting messages from point to point.
